As a martial artist of 11 years, not only do you develop the skills, power and speed of a fighter, you develop a mindset which only true fighters possess: the desire to be the absolute best in the world. Waking up and training twice a day, everyday, under the influence of Owen King & Peter Cope at team NSBB, drives me to compete at the highest level for one of the world’s most elite kickboxing fight teams: Top Ten UK.
As of this point in my journey as a fighter, I have won multiple British, European and World level competitions in associations such as WAKO, WMO & ISKA as well as being apart of filiming stunt routines and martial arts tutorials for the Fighter Training app, all since the age of 6.
Undeniably, there have been ups and downs, and there will be many more, but this is what drives my motivation to strive for greatness, and this is only the beginning for me. The ultimate goal: to be the most dominant kickboxer and MMA superstar the world will ever know. Some people may think that these views and desires are obnoxious;self absorbed and unrealistic, but i’m not here to be a people pleaser. I’m here to win and I’m here for good! As the great Muhammad Ali says “if even dream about beating me, you better wake up and apologise.”, this message is fuels me, his legacy lives within me. To train, to fight, to win!
What clean sport means to me? When I think of “clean sport”, the instant thought that enters my mind is the idea that sports shouldn’t engage with criminally negligent athletes’ pumping themselves with steroids!
However, with deeper thought, other connotations come to mind. For example, the idea that race, religion, beliefs, colour and sexuality doesn’t play a role in sports, so individuals can clear the “bad blood” between each other in order to participate in the sport they love.
Other ideas like playing fairly and following the rules come to mind but the main principle for me personally would have to be how athletes compose themselves outside the sport they participate in, and that to me singles out the true sportsman and those who just possess talent.
